For the moments that are changing you
This is the first one. Limen — the threshold.
I made it at the kitchen table, while my daughter slept. One bead at a time, no rush. The amethysts are chevron — the kind with white veining running through them like small waves — and the links are gold PVD-plated stainless steel. Solid. Built to last years.
Amethyst, across three traditions
There is something worth noting about amethyst.
Three quite different traditions — Catholic, crystal spirituality, and Greco-Roman heritage — land in the same place: it is a stone of clarity. Of seeing what is in front of you without flinching. Of finding quiet when everything around you is loud.
You don't need to believe in crystals for amethyst to work as a rosary. You don't need to pray every day for it to be worth keeping.
Carry it as you need to.
How it is made
One stone at a time. One pearl at a time. Link by link.
Each chevron amethyst and each freshwater pearl is held between two gold PVD-plated stainless steel links. It is the strongest way to build a rosary — solid, with no knots to work loose over time.
The stones and pearls come into the workshop already blessed. Everything after that was done by my hands.

Care
Amethyst and pearls are natural materials. Treat them the way you would treat anything that has had a life before it came to you.
- Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth
- Keep away from perfume
- Do not submerge in water — pearls are organic and will lose their lustre over time
- Keep it in its pouch when you are not wearing it
With reasonable care, it can stay with you for decades.

FAQ
What exactly is this rosary made of?
Chevron amethyst (the variety with natural white veining), genuine freshwater pearls (not imitation), and gold PVD-plated stainless steel links.
What does it mean that the stones are blessed?
Before I begin assembling each rosary, I take all the stones and pearls to be blessed. It is part of the process from the very beginning — not something optional or added at the end. The stones come into the workshop already blessed. Everything after that is done by my hands.
Where do the materials come from?
The pearls are freshwater pearls from ethical suppliers. The chevron amethyst is natural. The stainless steel is surgical grade, with a gold PVD finish that is resistant to wear and does not discolour.
Who makes the rosaries?
I Patrizia, make every rosary at my kitchen table in Dublin. Each piece is assembled by hand, one stone and one pearl at a time. There is no production line, no factory, no team. Just me.
Care and use
How do I care for a Lumen Maris rosary?
With a soft, dry cloth. Keep it away from perfume. Keep it out of water — pearls are organic and will lose their lustre over time. And store it in its cloth pouch when you are not wearing it. With reasonable care, it can stay with you for decades.
Is Lumen Maris only for Catholics?
Lumen Maris makes Catholic rosaries, but how you use one is entirely up to you. Some people pray with it every day. Some carry it in their bag or keep it in the car. Some have it on the bedside table as an object of presence. Carry it as you need to. The intention behind these rosaries is that they accompany you — through the hard moments and the grateful ones.
