Refund policy

At Lumen Maris, every piece is assembled by hand using unique natural materials. Given the handcrafted nature of the work, our returns policy applies the minimum legal requirements and is set out by category below.
1. Rosaries, jewellery and physical catalogue products
Customers in the European Union
Under Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.
To exercise this right:
- Write to us at contacto@lumenmaris.com within 14 days of receiving your order, stating your order number and your decision to withdraw.
- The product must be returned unused, intact, in its original packaging and with all its components.
- Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Once the returned item has been received and its condition verified, we will issue a full refund of the product price within 14 days, using the same payment method as the original purchase.
- Original shipping costs are refunded only where the entire order is returned, not in the case of a partial return.
Customers outside the European Union (United Kingdom, United States, Mexico, Argentina, Canada and elsewhere)
Given the handcrafted nature of our pieces and the high cost of international shipping, orders dispatched outside the EU are considered final. Returns and refunds are not accepted unless the product is defective or damaged in transit (see section 4).
2. Personalised or custom-made products
Personalised products — rosaries made with a specific stone requested by the customer, custom lengths, engravings, or any other made-to-order element — are excluded from the right of withdrawal under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU.
Once a custom order has been confirmed, cancellations, returns and refunds cannot be accepted.
3. Digital products
Downloadable digital products (e-books, guides, content) are excluded from the right of withdrawal once the download or access has begun, under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU. By completing a purchase, the customer gives express consent to this exclusion.
4. Defective or transit-damaged products
If you receive a defective product or one that has been damaged in transit, please notify us within 7 days of receipt, including:
- Your order number.
- Clear photographs of the product and the packaging.
We will assess each case individually and offer, as appropriate: a replacement, a repair, or a full refund. Return postage costs in these cases are covered by Lumen Maris.
5. Spiritual services, courses and events
These are subject to specific cancellation policies, which are set out in the Terms and Conditions, sections 6 and 7.
6. How to start a return
Write to us at contacto@lumenmaris.com with the subject line "Return — [your order number]". We will reply within 3 working days with return instructions.
We recommend sending your return with tracked postage. Lumen Maris cannot be held responsible for parcels lost or damaged during return transit.
